Celebrate the season with the joy of reading

This festive season, we continue our support of early years literacy at two primary schools in Zimbabwe.

With guidance from the mc2h foundation and in partnership with Happy Readers, we have purchased reading materials, and funded teacher training and monitoring at two schools in the Shamva district, Zimbabwe, reaching over 550 primary age children.

Reading is the foundation of education, and yet 9 out of 10 primary age children in sub-Saharan Africa are unable to read or write by the age of 10. Happy Readers is a social enterprise that delivers literacy programmes to primary and middle school pupils across Southern Africa.
