Nazareth House is a charitable organisation that has been caring for children for over 100 years, mostly in residential homes.
Since 1997, this has increasingly included children affected by HIV/AIDS.
Both Nazareth House and Mocoh are concerned that for some children residential homes restrict interaction with the community, which increases the risk of them becoming institutionalised. For this reason Mocoh purchased a property in Mowbray, Cape Town, to provide a community home for eight children between the ages of 6 and 10.
This is the first of many community projects that we will become involved with over the coming years.
Tara Hacking raises over £18,000 for Sydney Cottage
On April 13th, 2008 Tara ran the London Marathon in just over 4 hours raising in excess of £18,000 for the boys at Sydney Cottage, which will be put the great use.
